Unilever is investing more than PLN 100 mln in further modernization of its Bydgoszcz factory after spending nearly PLN 350 mln there over the past four years. The plant, which produces brands including Dove, Rexona and Vaseline, is becoming increasingly automated and strategically important within Unilever’s European network. Investments include autonomous internal transport, upgraded production lines and AI-based quality control that inspects every bottle for defects.

The factory produces 400-450 mln items annually, with around 90% exported to 26 countries. Unilever is also preparing for future use of humanoid robots in repetitive or physically demanding tasks. The company sees Bydgoszcz as a benchmark facility for flexibility, logistics and complex production.
