Changing transatlantic relations an opportunity for Poland’s Play Group in the cloud
Ken Campbell, CEO of Play Group, sees shifting transatlantic relations as an opportunity for European telecoms. Play is partnering with Scaleway, a European cloud provider, to offer local cloud solutions that prioritize data sovereignty—an area where Campbell aims to compete with U.S. tech giants.He emphasized telecom's rising strategic importance in AI, cybersecurity, and business support. Play invests around PLN 1.5 billion annually in infrastructure and urges simple regulations to sustain growth. Campbell criticized the complex national adaptations of EU laws.
Play also plans to offer cloud services through its Iliad Group partnership. Campbell advocates for a European tech ecosystem, aiming to provide secure, sovereign services amid changing global dynamics.
