Chinese selling historic numbers of vehicles in Poland
Poland recorded its strongest June for new vehicle registrations in the 21st century, driven mainly by business buyers investing in delivery vehicles and passenger-car fleets. In June 2026, more than 66,400 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were registered, up 19.6% y/y and 19.1% m/m. Since January, registrations have reached 349,900, up 9.9% y/y. Passenger cars remained the main driver, with almost 59,000 registrations in June, 69.5% of them by institutional clients.
Toyota led the market, followed by Skoda and Volkswagen. Chinese brands reached a record 14.9% market share, while EVs rose to 5.1%. Light commercial vehicles grew even faster, up 25.5% y/y.
