Company Integration Events Often Miss the Mark

Company integration events are a common workplace tradition – but do they work? According to a new survey by Pracuj.pl, 35 percent of employees say their company doesn’t organize any integration events. Where such events are held, 84 percent consist solely of shared meals.
Crucially, 41 percent of employees feel that current formats don’t meet their expectations, and 31 percent admit to feeling uncomfortable or tense during such gatherings. These findings suggest that many integration efforts fail to build genuine team connection.
“Integration events should build relationships, but to be effective, they must meet the real needs of teams. Employees have different expectations – for some, it’s a chance for casual networking, while for others, it’s a stressful large-group event. Companies should take a flexible approach to integration, offering a variety of activities,” Agata Grzejda, Internal Communications Expert at Grupa Pracuj, said.
