Construction and assembly production show growth, renovations not so much

In June 2025, Poland’s construction and assembly production saw strong growth, increasing 10.3% m/m and 2.2% y/y, continuing a positive trend since February. Growth was strongest in specialized construction works (+17.7%) and building construction (+8.9%). However, first-half 2025 output declined 0.7% y/y, driven by drops in civil engineering and building construction. Investment-related works performed better, rising 9.4% y/y in June, while renovations fell 11.2%.
Overall, investment works grew 5.2% in H1 2025, while renovations declined 11.8%. Construction prices remained stable versus May but rose 2.9% y/y. The data highlights a shift toward new investment projects over renovations and reflects stronger momentum in infrastructure and development activities.
