Consumer climate index down to minus 17.7 pts in September

The Kantar Consumer Index fell in September by 2.6 points to minus 17.7 points, Kantar announced on Monday. The indicator of the perception of the economic situation of the country and the assessment of the economic situation of households also deteriorated in September.

As reported, Kantar examines the economic sentiment of Poles every month. Such a survey was also conducted in September; respondents were asked for their opinions on the economic situation of the country and households.

"The Kantar Consumer Index result in September is a result of the deterioration of all indicators," the information reads.

According to the communiqué, the assessment of the country's economic condition was lower than in August, the perception index of the country's economic condition is minus 23 points.

Compared to August, the value of the index decreased by 3 points. The decrease in the index was due to lower than a month before annual change in the economic situation of the country (by 6 percentage points) and the annual forecasted economic change of the country (by 3 percentage points). Overall assessment, the current economic situation of the country has not changed.

On the other hand, the index of assessment of the financial condition of farms in September is minus 12.3 points. Compared to August, the value of the index decreased by 2 points.
