Core inflation in April amounted to 7.7 percent, compared to 6.9 percent in March, the National Bank of Poland said.

Year-on-year inflation excluding administered prices (which are under state control) amounted to 12.2 percent, compared to 10.6 percent a month earlier, the NBP said. Excluding the most volatile prices, inflation amounted to 9.3 percent, compared to 7.9 percent a month earlier. Excluding food and energy prices, it was 7.7 percent, up from 6.9 percent a month earlier. 

CPI in the period under review was 12.4 percent y/y.
