Costs of building a house in Poland rising, investor interest is not weakening

The cost of building a house in Poland currently ranges from PLN 5,550 to 6,000 per m², driven mainly by rising labor wages, according to Sekocenbud. Despite this, interest in home construction is growing slightly, as building remains significantly cheaper than buying apartments in large cities, where prices reach PLN 13,200–16,400 per m². Lower interest rates are also encouraging investors. Most new homes are compact, 90–110 m², single-story or with attic space, often without basements or garages to reduce costs.
Basements are becoming rare due to high construction expenses and limited usefulness. Experts expect the trend toward affordable, energy-efficient suburban homes to continue as a strong alternative to expensive urban apartments.
