CPK has agreement with Polish Airports on construction of Port Polska airport
Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) and Polskie Porty Lotnicze (PPL) have signed an investment agreement to jointly develop the new Port Polska airport. Under the deal, PPL will acquire a stake in the operating company Port Polska.Lotnisko and invest around PLN 4.6 billion by 2032, becoming its strategic investor. The agreement defines cooperation rules and a financing model in which shareholders will cover about 30% of construction costs, with the remainder financed through debt. PPL may eventually acquire up to 100% of shares and full control of the airport operator. The government stresses that involving PPL strengthens efficiency, security, and economic sovereignty by keeping ownership and future profits in Polish hands.
PPL will contribute operational expertise from managing Warsaw Chopin Airport, while the new hub near Warsaw and Łódź is designed to initially handle 34 million passengers annually and expand over time.
