Crisis guide to be issued to Poles this year

Poland’s Interior Ministry (MSWiA) will publish a crisis guidebook this year to help citizens prepare for emergencies. The small red-and-white brochure will include practical instructions, such as recognizing CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) warning signs, alarm signals, and how to endure the first 72 hours of a crisis. Deputy Interior Minister Wiesław Leśniakiewicz told PAP that the guide will first appear online, then in print for every household, with priority given to residents of eastern provinces covered by the “Eastern Shield” program.
Volunteer fire brigades may help distribute and explain the guide. Modeled on Sweden’s version, it aims to raise awareness and strengthen public readiness for emergencies.
