Data breach reported at Enel-Med Medical Center
Enel-Med reported an IT security incident on September 24 that resulted in a breach of data confidentiality, but it has not disclosed what information was affected, how many people may be involved or how the incident occurred. The medical provider said it immediately secured its network, systems and customer data, and that operations have not been materially affected. It notified Poland’s cybercrime bureau, the e-Health Center’s CSIRT, CERT Polska and the data protection authority. The incident follows other recent cybersecurity breaches in Poland’s health care sector.
A cyberattack on Qbusoft’s Medyc system exposed patient data at a treatment center, while an August attack on MyDr reportedly leaked information on 19 mln Poles, including drug and prescription data.
