Digital Innovation Transforms Warsaw’s Energy Sector

Stoen Operator, powering over one million customers in Warsaw, is driving a major digital transformation to improve operations, customer service, and energy security. As part of the E.ON Group, the company is implementing advanced solutions such as smart meters (AMI), asset management systems (EAM), and process optimization tools.
Key innovations include remote monitoring technologies like SCADA systems and DGA sensors in transformers, as well as the AI-based iDoc platform, which cuts document processing time by 60 percent. Machine learning tools support predictive maintenance, and new self-service platforms enhance collaboration with subcontractors.
In partnership with Warsaw University of Technology, Stoen also runs student research projects, linking innovation with education. Internally, data governance programs and CRM systems prepare the operator for the nationwide CSIRE energy data platform.
