Digital transformation of Polish companies and institutions

Digital transformation in practice. INEA, AI experts and the Grodzisk Wielkopolski local government show how to effectively implement modern technologies.

Digital transformation of Polish companies and institutions

A press conference entitled “Digital transformation of Polish companies and institutions” was held on May 16 at Trend House in the Chmielna 73 Hall building in Warsaw.  The meeting was organized by INEA - one of the largest operators of fiber-optic services in Poland, and was attended by experts and practitioners who talked about specific technological solutions, effective implementations, and the digital future of Poland, both in the business and public sectors.

Digital transformation is a process involving the implementation of digital technologies in the operations of companies, public institutions and government. It includes automation of processes, digitization of documents, development of online services, as well as integration of modern technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence. In Poland, this process began on a wider scale after 2015, with the development of administrative e-services and increased investment in fiber optic infrastructure. Today, digital transformation is the foundation of a modern state and a competitive economy.

The event was attended by:

    - Maciej Hojszyk, Commercial B2B Director at INEA,

    - Joanna Szczegielniak, AI expert, president of Open Your Mind Lab and member of the Polish Committee for Standardization of Artificial Intelligence,

    - Piotr Hojan, Mayor of Grodzisk Wielkopolski,

    - Artur Judek, Head of the Department of Informatization and Digitization at the Grodzisk Wielkopolski City Hall.

The event was hosted by Joanna Orleanska, actress, director and originator of the most technologically and multimedia cutting-edge solutions in Warsaw museums.

The meeting presented new technological solutions offered by INEA in the areas of digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence and cloud services, as well as specific examples of implementations in companies and public institutions.

- Digital transformation today is not a choice, but a necessity. Our task as an infrastructure provider and technology partner is not only to provide solutions, but to jointly build competencies and effective operating models -  said Maciej Hojszyk.

Also speaking was Joanna Szczegielniak, who spoke about the role of AI in digital transformation

and the ethical, legal and educational challenges that lie ahead. - Artificial intelligence can support decision-making processes, automate routine tasks and increase efficiency. But we need an informed approach and well-prepared staff - the expert noted.

A special highlight of the conference was the presentation of the experience of the Grodzisk Wielkopolski local government, which has been implementing digital solutions in cooperation with INEA for a decade. - Today, Grodzisk is an example of how technology can really improve the lives of residents - from e-services to security and availability of information - said Mayor Piotr Hojan.

The organizers of the event stressed that digital transformation cannot be detached from the local context, the needs of residents and real resources - both technical, and human. This balanced approach - based on partnership - is intended to be a model for other local governments and companies in Poland to follow.
