Cavare, part of Cavatina Group, plans an 11-story Palio H2 building on Gdańsk’s former Schichau Shipyard site, with 274 hotel units, 460 square meters of commercial space and 70 parking spaces. The development could alternatively serve as institutional rental housing. Młyniska District Council wants zoning plan No. 11110 rejected, arguing that growing hotel, dormitory and apartment development could undermine lasting communities and encourage short-term tourist rentals. It seeks more residential development, street frontages capped at five stories with isolated taller buildings, and protected views of historic KONE cranes.

The council’s position is scheduled for discussion on October 28. It also favors establishing broader planning priorities before advancing detailed zoning.
