Beata Javorcik, Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), highlighted that EBRD invested around €1.3 billion in Poland in 2023, which decreased to €715 million in 2024. She emphasized the government's role in promoting green transformation, mentioning investments in projects like Baltic Power, green financial instruments, and public transport such as trams in Krakow. EBRD focuses on supporting green energy sources, and funds from the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Fund (KPO) also contribute to this goal. Javorcik stressed the importance of regulatory frameworks facilitating green transition and the need to convince the public about its significance.
