EC agrees to pay out billions more from National Operational Program to complete KPO

The European Commission has approved the disbursement of another PLN 26 billion from Poland’s National Recovery Plan (KPO), Deputy Minister of Funds Jan Szyszko announced. The Commission will finalize the payment process by November 11, with the funds expected to reach Poland two weeks later. To date, Poland has received PLN 67 billion from earlier tranches: PLN 27 billion in April 2024 and PLN 40 billion in December 2024. The new funds will support investments in energy, healthcare, infrastructure, and the economy.
Poland filed its fourth and fifth payment requests in late 2024 and plans to submit sixth and seventh requests, worth about PLN 61 billion, at the turn of the year.
