The European Commission has approved Poland's strategic plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for 2023-2027. During this period, EUR 17.3 billion will be allocated from the EU budget for direct payments, and EUR 4.7 billion for rural development, according to the EC.

In total, over EUR 22 billion will be granted from the EU budget to support Polish agriculture. National co-financing will amount to EUR 2.9 billion.

"The Polish strategic plan for 2023-2027 provides for the sustainable development of farms, the processing sector and the improvement of living and working conditions in rural areas," - states the plan approved by the Commission.

Poland aims to more than double the agricultural area under organic farming by 2030.
