The European Commission has approved Polish government plans to grant over €1.7 billion in financial aid for a €4.15 billion Intel semiconductor plant.
Poland’s Digital Affairs Minister, Krzysztof Gawkowski, said on Friday that Warsaw had received word from Brussels that it would be permitted to grant the aid.
Intel's production and testing facility in southeastern Poland will be one of the country’s biggest-ever foreign investment deals and is expected to create around 2,000 jobs.
