EEC: banks and medicine see benefits of AI, industry lining up next
Artificial intelligence is increasingly transforming Polish industries, especially banking, healthcare, manufacturing, and public administration. Experts at the European Economic Congress emphasized that most companies remain stuck in pilot projects instead of implementing AI at scale, where real business value emerges. The main obstacle is not regulation or technology, but mental resistance and poor preparation.
Banks already use AI for risk assessment, fraud prevention, customer service, and complaint handling, while healthcare companies see major potential in clinical research, digital patient models, and faster drug development. Manufacturing firms are adopting AI-driven robotics, anomaly detection, and automation to address labor shortages. Experts stressed that successful AI adoption requires analyzing business processes first, starting with small experiments, and gradually scaling them into production-ready systems.
