ESG becoming a core element of real estate in a risky world

In Poland, ESG is also maturing rapidly and becoming a core element of business strategy. According to KPMG Poland, companies are no longer treating ESG as a cost or regulatory burden, but as a critical tool for building resilience, managing risk, and attracting financing. Over 70% of energy sector leaders in Poland report a sharp increase in green transformation investments, and 64% of investors are directing capital toward energy efficiency projects.
Justyna Wysocka-Golec, Partner and ESG Leader at KPMG Poland, emphasizes that market forces and business partners, rather than regulations alone, are increasingly driving transparency and ESG engagement. Polish companies are focusing on developing competencies, reorganizing internal processes, and leveraging technology to prepare for future ESG requirements and unlock funding opportunities—especially from EU mechanisms and financial sector innovations.
