EU funds boost expressway projects

Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) secured over PLN 2.2 billion in EU funding for the S7 Płońsk–Czosnów expressway and the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass. Combined with earlier grants, GDDKiA has received nearly PLN 5 billion in recent months from the FEnIKS Program.
The Płońsk–Czosnów project, north of Warsaw, involves building 35 km of the S7 expressway at a total cost of over PLN 2.8 billion, with PLN 1.2 billion covered by EU funds. Meanwhile, the Tri-City Bypass, part of the S7, includes a 32-km dual carriageway and a 6-km Żukowo bypass, costing PLN 2.9 billion, of which PLN 1 billion comes from the EU.
Both projects, set for completion in 2025, enhance connectivity between major cities like Warsaw, Kraków, and Gdańsk, supporting regional development and mobility.
