European Investment Bank Group expands support for tech innovation in Poland
The European Investment Bank (EIB) Group has significantly expanded its support for technological innovation in Poland through multiple initiatives. The European Investment Fund (EIF) will allocate PLN 500 million and manage the new Future Tech Poland fund, part of the Innovate Poland program, aimed at boosting venture capital investment in high-potential startups. Alongside this, the EIB has granted a €25 million loan to Polish deep-tech firm Synerise to support its AI research, infrastructure development, and international expansion across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
Additionally, the Polish Development Fund (PFR) became the first domestic partner of the EIB Group’s TechEU platform, designed to connect innovative projects with appropriate funding sources. TechEU includes the Investment Readiness Checker, a digital tool helping startups assess their funding eligibility across the EU.
The Future Tech Poland fund, expected to reach PLN 1.5 billion with additional support from BGK, will strengthen Poland’s position as a regional innovation hub. These efforts reflect the EIB Group’s broader mission to enhance the EU’s global competitiveness in deep tech, AI, biotech, clean energy, and more.
Synerise’s success and partnership with the EIB exemplify how strategic investment can accelerate responsible innovation and support the growth of a sustainable, knowledge-driven economy in Poland.
