In June 2023, the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) inflation in Poland was reported to be 11% year-on-year, a decrease from 12.5% y/y in the previous month, according to Eurostat, the European statistical office. On a monthly basis, the HICP index increased by 0.1%.
Among EU member states, Luxembourg had the lowest annual inflation rate (1%), followed by Belgium and Spain (both at 1.6%). The highest annual rates were observed in Hungary (19.9%), Slovakia (11.3%), and the Czech Republic (11.2%).
Compared to May, the annual inflation decreased in twenty-five member states, remained stable in one, and increased in one. The overall HICP inflation in the EU stood at 6.4% y/y in June.
