Seasonally adjusted industrial production in Poland increased by 6.1 percent y/y in January 2019 (after an increase by 2.8 percent on a yearly basis in the previous month), the EU statistical office Eurostat has announced. On a monthly basis, production in Poland increased by 1.7 percent in January.
In the same period, seasonally adjusted industrial production in the euro zone increased by 1.4 percent m/m, while in the entire EU production increased by 1 percent. In annual terms, industrial production fell by 1.1 percent in the euro zone and by 0.4 percent across the EU. The consensus was a 2.1 percent decline for the euro zone.
