In July 2024, Poland's inflation rate, measured by the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), was 4.0% y/y, up from 2.9% in June, according to Eurostat. Monthly prices increased by 0.8%.

The HICP is a harmonized consumer price index calculated using a standardized methodology by the European Union’s Statistical Office. It is used to assess price stability according to the Maastricht Treaty criteria.

HICP data is derived from household budget expenditures and national accounts, while Consumer Price Index (CPI) data is based solely on household budget expenditures.
