Eurostat: labor costs in Poland in Q1 increased 11.2% y/y

Nominal hourly labor costs in the first quarter in Poland increased by 11.2% y/y, after increasing by 13.8% y/y in the fourth quarter and by 14.1% in the first quarter of 2024, Eurostat reported.
Poland ranks 5th in the EU.
Wages rose by 11.2% in Q1, while other remuneration components rose by 11.1%.
In industry, labor costs rose by 8.8 percent in Q1 after increasing by 10.6 percent in Q4.
In construction, prices rose by 9.9 percent after an increase of 11.5 percent in Q4, and in services, prices went up by 9.3 percent after an increase of 10.4 percent in Q4.
