Eurostat: Retail sales in Poland rose by 1.7% y/y in May

Eurostat: Retail sales in Poland rose by 1.7% y/y in May

Seasonally adjusted retail sales in Poland recorded a 1.7% y/y increase in May 2020, the EU's statistical office Eurostat said.

On a monthly basis, retail sales in Poland rose by 10.1%.

In the entire European Union (EU27), retail sales rose by 16.4% m/m, while in annual terms, they were down by 4.2% y/y.

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), retail sales (in constant prices) fell by 7.7% y/y in May 2020, while in current prices, they were 8.6% lower than a year earlier.
