EV fleet growing in Poland, but support cannot keep up
In Q1 2025, Poland’s electric vehicle (EV) market saw notable growth. By March's end, there were 87,461 fully electric cars and vans (BEVs) registered—22% more than a year earlier. In total, 157,362 electric passenger vehicles are on Polish roads, split almost equally between BEVs and plug-in hybrids. The charging infrastructure is also growing, with 9,342 public charging points, 32% of which are fast chargers.
The “NaszEauto” incentive program is a key driver of growth in the passenger segment. However, the end of subsidies for zero-emission delivery vans (N1 category) has caused their registrations to drop. Experts urge a swift revision of Poland’s recovery plan to reintroduce support and boost the segment critical for urban logistics.
