Exports from Poland down by 1.8% y/y in July: KIG

In July, exports from Poland fell by 1.8 percent y/y, results from the forecast of economists of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG).

"Currently available data on the condition of the real economy and opinions obtained from members of the Polish Chamber of Commerce allow to estimate that exports in July 2020 amounted to €18.7 billion. Thus, they increased compared to the values recorded in June by 10.1 percent, but decreased by 1.8 percent compared to values gained twelve months ago,” the KIG stated.

KIG economists expect that in 2020 export sales will decrease to €225.1 billion from €230.3 billion in 2019, which means by 2.3 percent.
