The largest increase in exports – by 24.9 percent y/y – was recorded in the oils and fats segment, while the imported products that witnessed the biggest increase were beverages and tobacco – by 12.9 percent y/y, according to the Warsaw-based Central Statistics Office (GUS).
According to GUS data, foreign trade turnover between January and November 2019 amounted to PLN 934 billion in exports and PLN 926 billion in imports at current prices. This means a EUR 1.9 billion surplus in foreign trade after 11 months of 2019.
