EY Polska: benefits from replacement of workers with AI limited

According to EY Poland, 2.6% of tasks in Poland could be automated by AI within the next ten years. This is lower than Western Europe and the U.S. (5%) but higher than the Central and Eastern European (CEE) average (2.2%). The lower wages in Poland and the CEE region reduce the economic incentives for AI-driven workforce replacement compared to Western economies.
Despite this, AI is expected to boost productivity by 0.3–0.9% in Poland, similar to CEE (0.3–0.8%), but lower than Western Europe (0.9–1.8%). Experts stress that AI is not replacing jobs but enhancing efficiency, making AI education and workforce adaptation crucial for long-term competitiveness.
