Facebook changes it slogan, does not promise to be free

Facebook quietly changed the slogan on its main page, which encourages people to register. Earlier it said: "It's (and always will be) free!" Recently, however, it turned to "It's quick and easy". Information that setting up a Facebook account is free has been on the site for over a decade.
The lawyer and expert on digital law José Antonio Castillo suspects the company move might have been linked to a directive adopted by the European Parliament in May. For the first time ever, it recognizes data exchange as a form of payment. Facebook did not immediately reply to request for comment.
