Fewer Fake Invoices Detected Thanks to AI Tools

In the first six months of this year, the number of detected fake invoices in Poland fell by nearly 3 percent compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the National Revenue Administration (KAS). Experts attribute the decline to advanced digital verification tools, including artificial intelligence algorithms, which are faster and more accurate than traditional methods in detecting fraud. At the same time, fraudsters appear less willing to take risks. The gross value of fraudulent invoices recently identified reached PLN 4.1 billion, down more than 3 percent y/y.
