Finance and Tourism Drive Modest Recovery in Poland’s June 2025 Outlook

Poland’s economic sentiment in June 2025 shows cautious improvement, though sectoral results remain mixed, according to GUS data. The financial and insurance sector led the way with a sentiment score of +25.3, nearing its long-term average. In contrast, manufacturing declined further, with its index falling to –7.7, well below the historical average.
Tourism-related sectors saw seasonal gains: accommodation and catering rose sharply from +13.5 to +17.3. However, construction dipped to –4.7, and both wholesale (–0.5) and retail trade (–0.9) slipped into negative territory. Transport slightly improved to –0.8, while the IT and communication sector inched up to +9.2.
Consumer confidence also rebounded, with the index improving to –9.3, up 5.2 points from May.
Overall, June brought moderate optimism, driven by strong performance in finance and tourism, yet ongoing weakness in manufacturing and construction continues to weigh on Poland’s broader economic recovery.
