Finnish PM wants to strengthen supervision over rule of law
Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne has announced plans to create a mechanism linking EU funds with the rule of law. “We want to establish a balanced and effective mechanism that will tie EU funds to compliance with the rule of law,” Rinne said on Wednesday in Strasbourg. Finland took over the presidency of the EU Council from Romania on July 1.
