Fitch rating agency said it may increase by up to two levels rating of a country, which decides to adopt the euro as the national currency. Such a statement was included in the agency's report, which deals with the entry into the eurozone of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland. The agency emphasized that each case would be considered separately, taking into account other factors that may affect the rating of the country.
However, the ruling party PiS earlier said it has no plans to adopt the European currency. In April, Prime Minister Morawiecki said Poland should not currently take this into account. In his opinion, such a decision would expose the economy to a crisis.
