Fitch raises Poland’s GDP outlook to 2.8% in 2024

Credit rating agency Fitch has maintained its forecast for Poland's GDP growth in 2023 at 0.7% and raised its estimate for 2024 to 2.8% from 2.6%, according to its latest report. Fitch still expects the central bank to keep interest rates stable in Poland throughout the current year and cut them by 175 basis points in 2024 overall. The agency predicts economic recovery in 2024 and 2025, driven by diminishing external shocks, decreasing inflation, and real wage improvements. Fitch also anticipates a continued decrease in CPI inflation in Poland, aided by food and energy price stability, as well as the appreciation of the Polish zloty.
