Fuel prices lower for long weekend
Despite a slowdown in the decline of fuel prices, drivers will enjoy lower costs over the long weekend compared to last year, reports BM Reflex. As of August 14, average prices are: unleaded petrol 95 at PLN 6.36/l, unleaded petrol 98 at PLN 7.13/l, diesel at PLN 6.38/l, and autogas at PLN 2.76/l. Prices for petrol and diesel have decreased by 2-3 groszy per litre, while autogas has risen slightly by 1 grosz, though it varies by station.
Compared to last year, unleaded petrol 95 is 28 groszy cheaper, and unleaded 98 and diesel are down by 5 groszy. LPG prices remain the same. Brent crude futures are priced at USD 81-82/bbl, with OPEC and the IEA predicting varied growth rates for global oil consumption.
