Gdynia-based company APS modernizing military’s anti-drone systems

A Gdynia-based company, Advanced Protection Systems (APS), is advancing drone detection and neutralization technologies tested on the Ukrainian battlefield. APS stresses that effective counter-drone systems must be multi-layered, combining 3D radars, cameras, jammers, and—in wartime—kinetic effectors like artillery or laser-guided missiles. While Poland’s army already uses APS systems, rapid drone evolution requires modernization. APS has supplied radar solutions to Ukraine for over two years and recently won a Lithuanian defense tender to protect critical energy infrastructure. The firm is also active in the Middle East.
With over 150 engineers, APS highlights its Polish capital and technology base, noting that drone threats are global. It plans to expand its workforce to meet growing defense needs.
