A major fire broke out late on Friday evening at the construction site of The Warsaw Hub mixed-use project, which Ghelamco Poland is currently developing in the Wola district of Warsaw. Tens of firefighters battled for hours until the blaze was eventually brought under control on Saturday morning. The company has revealed that construction work on the scheme, which was put on hold over the weekend, has now been resumed. The fire only covered the wooden windshield on the top floors of the development’s building “C” with the structure of that building not having been damaged, Ghelamco Poland said in a press release. The Warsaw HUB investment will consist of three high-rise buildings offering a total of approximately 113,000 sqm of space and will accommodate office, conference, hotel and retail areas.
