VIBE, an 11-story, 15,000 sqm office building developed by Ghelamco in Warsaw’s business center, has become the first office building in Poland to receive the DGNB New Buildings International 2020 Gold certification. This prestigious distinction confirms its highest sustainability standards, assessing ecological, economic, and social factors.

VIBE is one of Poland’s most eco-friendly buildings, featuring cutting-edge energy-saving and low-emission solutions. It aligns with Ghelamco’s ESG strategy and holds additional certifications, including BREEAM Outstanding, Green Building Standard, Accessibility without Barriers, WELL precertification (targeting WELL v2 Core), SmartScore, and WiredScore Platinum for digital and technological advancement.

Sustainable technologies used in VIBE include:

Building Energy Management System (BEMS) to reduce energy consumption.
Vacuum drainage system reducing water usage by 75% annually.
InBin app to monitor waste and optimize collection.
During construction, low-carbon materials (concrete and steel) were used, and greenery was added, including 18 large trees and 8,600+ plants. Ultimately, VIBE will be powered by 100% clean energy from Ghelamco’s photovoltaic farms.

Fully leased and widely recognized in the industry, VIBE has won multiple awards, including Eurobuild Awards 2024, Golden Compass 2024, and CEE Investment Awards 2024.

DGNB certification, introduced in 2009, is the world’s most advanced sustainability rating, evaluating projects holistically across ecology, economy, and socio-cultural quality. It ensures a lifecycle-based approach to sustainability, setting global benchmarks for environmentally responsible construction.

With DGNB Gold, VIBE strengthens Ghelamco’s position as a leader in sustainable office development, offering innovative, comfortable, and intelligent workspaces tailored to modern business needs.
