Grupa Azoty adjusts output

Grupa Azoty expects to utilize over 50% of the polypropylene production capacity at its Polimery Police plant in 2025—similar to 2024 levels, when output reached 211,000 tons, Vice President Krzysztof Kołodziejczyk said.
From July 31, 2024, the company gained full control over production at the still-provisionally accepted facility. However, the plant continues to face technical issues due to investment-phase errors
“We’re focused on resolving faults. All 2024 output has been sold, and we’re now working on profitability,” Kołodziejczyk noted.
Currently, most polypropylene is sold through spot deals, though the market favors long-term contracts. “We’re not yet in a position to ensure stable supply of specific grades,” added Vice President Andrzej Dawidowski, also President of Zakłady Chemiczne Police.
Grupa Azoty is the EU’s second-largest nitrogen fertilizer producer, with 2024 consolidated revenues of PLN 13.04 billion. Its portfolio also includes melamine, caprolactam, polyamide, and OXO alcohols.
