GUS: economic mood deteriorates in March
In March 2026, business sentiment in Poland worsened or remained stable across most sectors, according to data from Statistics Poland (GUS). The sharpest decline was seen in accommodation and food services, while manufacturing, transport, and retail also reported negative sentiment.
The financial sector showed the strongest performance, with the highest confidence levels, and slight improvements were noted in construction and wholesale trade. Despite weaker current assessments, companies are cautiously optimistic about the coming months.
Firms remain conservative in response to global market tensions, with most not planning major changes to import, export, or production strategies. Only a small share is considering relocating production outside the EU, focusing instead on improving resilience and supply chains.
