GUS: Net profit of non-financial enterprises increased by 19.3% y/y in Q1 2025
In Q1 2025, the net financial result of non-financial enterprises in Poland reached PLN 42.2 billion, marking a 19.3% y/y increase, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). The gross profit was PLN 53.3 billion, while tax burdens decreased slightly to PLN 11.2 billion. Net profit rose by PLN 1.2 billion to PLN 64.2 billion, while net losses dropped by PLN 5.7 billion to PLN 22 billion.
About 65.1% of firms reported net profits. Revenues remained stable at PLN 1.25 trillion, but costs dropped by 0.6%, improving profitability. Gross and net profit margins rose to 4.3% and 3.4%, respectively. The data covers 16,938 enterprises with 50+ employees, showing improved financial health across key operational areas.
