GUS: number of foreigners working in Poland in January was 1.045 mln

As of the end of January 2025, the number of foreigners working in Poland reached 1.045 million, a 4.5% increase year-over-year, according to Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS). Compared to December 2024, however, the figure decreased by 1.8%. Foreign workers made up 6.4% of the total workforce.
Of those employed, 398,800 were working solely under civil contracts (such as contracts of mandate), up 3.3% y/y but down 3.8% from the previous month.
Ukrainians remain the largest group of foreign workers, totaling 701,800—2.2% more than in January 2024, but 1.7% fewer than in December 2024.
