Happiness Index at work slightly declines

People spend most of their lives at work. In Poland, this is 43 hours per week, more than the standard full-time job. What affects the level of job satisfaction? Are Poles happy at work? According to the report "Polish Workers' Happiness", prepared by the employment agency Jobhouse and Great Digital, the happiness index in 2023 was 6.8 on a 10-point scale. This is slightly less than last year (6.9).
It is said: "Do what you love, and you'll never have to work." Therefore, job satisfaction is a factor that significantly affects the quality of life. Since the peak in 2021, when the level of happiness at work for Poles reached as high as 7.9 points, the value of this parameter has been declining slightly year by year. Experts, however, still optimistically describe it as moderately high.
"We hope that the "Polish Workers' Happiness" report will once again attract the attention of employers and make them reflect on what is important to employees. It is worth taking into account the opinion of team members so that they can feel happy at work and recommend it to others," Natalia Bogdan, president of Jobhouse, said.
