Head of PEJ says nuclear power plant in Poland will be very safe
PEJ CEO Marek Woszczyk emphasizes that Poland’s first nuclear power plant project demands the highest safety standards, calling nuclear technology exceptionally safe and non-negotiable in terms of security. The investment, worth nearly PLN 200 billion, is entering a critical phase of building the supply chain, with six major Polish companies already completing the first stage of qualification under the strict NQA-1 nuclear quality standard. Woszczyk notes that PEJ is actively helping domestic firms meet certification requirements and aims for at least 40% local content.
He stresses that the project is not only an energy investment but a national and strategic undertaking, requiring skilled labor, strict oversight and long-term economic benefits for Poland.
