Approximately 29,800 sqm of office space was leased in Katowice in the first half of this year, which marks a 24% increase y/y, according to Cushman & Wakefield data. The largest lease transaction signed in the period (renegotiation) saw Unilever leasing 7,300 sqm at Nowe Katowickie Centrum Biznesu. Tenants’ increased activity led the vacancy rate in the city to go down to 7.4%. Average monthly rents remained at the same level and amounted to €14 per sqm.
