From July 1 to December 31, 2024, household electricity bills will increase by PLN 27.5 net per month for those with annual consumption under 2 MWh, the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) announced.
Previously, energy sales prices were frozen at PLN 412/MWh. From July, this will rise to PLN 500/MWh. URE President Rafał Gawin explained that stabilizing raw material markets justify unfreezing energy prices.
The total electricity bill, which includes purchase and distribution costs, will see the distribution fee increase from PLN 289/MWh to PLN 430/MWh. However, the capacity fee, ranging from PLN 2.66 to PLN 14.9 per month, will be reduced to PLN 0 until December 31, 2024. For G11 tariff group consumers, with an average annual consumption of 1.8 MWh, the monthly bill increase will not exceed PLN 30 gross.
