IMF lowers Poland's GDP growth forecast to 3.7% in 2022

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts Poland's GDP growth for this year at 3.7 percent against 4.6 percent of the growth expected in February this year, the Fund said. The IMF expects that the GDP growth dynamics will amount to 2.9 percent in 2023 against the previously forecast 3.7 percent in February this year.

The IMF estimates that the average annual CPI inflation in Poland will amount to 8.9 percent this year, next year – 10.3 percent and 2.7 percent in 2027. The institution forecasts the level of CPI inflation at the end of this year at 8.1 percent.

The institution estimates the unemployment rate at 3.2 percent this year. compared to 3.5 percent last year.
